Ernie
Ernie is an adorable male Poodle about a year an a half old. He was a special case. Everything with him happened in reverse. First he found A Foster home. And then he found us. Ernie was abandoned at a local groomer with a leg injury. A Good Samaritan agreed to take him and then contacted us to see if we could help find him a permanent home. The Good Samaritan offered to foster him for us. We knew he had many good years ahead of him. As with all rescues, they need some extra TLC, but are oh so worth the effort. His Foster Mom, was great. She worked with him tirelessly. After surgery to repair his leg, he continued his growth and recovery. He learned to play with toys and walk on a leash. Being so young, we were looking for a family that he could settle into. Being such a good boy, with a sweet disposition we thought he would do well in a family with children so they could all grow up together. That being the case, how to find the perfect family for him? Soon that perfect family contacted us. They had two young boys and another small dog. Everything seemed perfect. Of course it was really up to the family's current little dog Black Jack to see if Ernie would finally have a forever home. Perhaps Black Jack knew what Ernie's situation was...We will never know. He accepted him and Ernie found his forever family. He continues to blossom and grow. We receive updates and photos of their adventures. Ernie is truly is an amazing rescue with an amazing ending.
